Tomorrow’s Business Leaders is entirely volunteer-run and is comprised of young professionals in New York City who work for top firms in a variety of industries including finance, marketing, technology and media. It is run by an Executive Board as well as other volunteers who have taken positions to help lead the organization. These leaders of our organization comprise TBL's Management Team.

The Management Team oversees day-to-day operations and leads the development of TBL. Former Executive Board members and Founders stay involved as Advisory Board members and consultants to the Executive Board.

Each school has a volunteer School Leader and/or Class Leaders who serve as on-the-ground managers and providers of feedback for the Executive Board.

To meet us, sign up for our mailing list and come to our social events hosted every semester.

Richard Wegener founded TBL in 2004 to introduce business and personal finance subjects to New York City public school students.  Through his work with a volunteer mentorship organization, he realized that many students were interested in pursuing careers in business but few understood what skills were required for these careers. After determining that teaching through schools in a classroom environment could reach the most students, he organized a group of young professionals to teach weekly classes at Manhattan Village Academy. Richard currently resides in Chicago and works for Citadel Investment Group and remains involved in TBL through an advisory role. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
